Get The FACTS! Parents and Teens Prepare For College!
Both
our children and parents are trying to prepare for the upcoming college
school year. Some will be away from the nest for the first
time and others
will return for another challenging year of peer pressure! Many
of our kids are
exposed to binge drinking or the new term 'HIGH RISK DRINKING' or
various
types of drug use! As you know, your son and/or daughter will be
invited to
many school activities in which alcohol and drugs will be present.
In
addition to alcohol and drug exposure, we must understand what our rights are
to help protect the overall safety of our children while on campus.
It is
time to become aware and understand what our kids are facing. Parents
must help our kids to understand what they will be faced with and how
to
handle various types of situations.
We
have established this section of the website to help educate and understand
college life. These websites will introduce and educate you
on campus security
and what new laws are being passed to protect our children while they
are
away from your home. Parents, know your rights and do
the investigation!
